Chris Galea, Worldwide Managing Director for SCB visits Dhaka, October 25, 2010

Chris Galea, Worldwide Managing Director for Standard Chartered Bank at TBWA visits Dhaka for market visit, brand induction sessions and to do capacity building workshops at TBWA\Benchmark, the local affiliate.

Chris is currently the core management contact responsible and accountable for the Standard Chartered Bank globally. His remit covers over 30 markets worldwide and embraces including Consumer Banking, Wholesale Banking, Corporate Brand Corporate, Private Banking, Islamic Banking, Consumer Finance.

Key areas of focus for Chris includes brand development, consistent implementation of core brand strategy, championing creative excellence, cross border best practice, structure, synergies/efficiencies, resource management. Having previously worked at TBWA London, DDB and Grey Worldwide, Chris has extensive international experience managing world class brands at Senior Management level.

From single domestic market accounts through Regional to full Global responsibility his experience covers over 50 countries in Europe, Emerging Markets, Middle East, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Sub Continent. It also embraces a breadth and depth of brand/category experience from blue chip fmcg (Spillers, Gordons Gin, Absolut Vodka, Muller, BAT, Horlicks, Ribena) through toys/games (Hasbro, Playskool, MB Games, Lego), electronics (Minolta, LG) and onto financial services (Barclays, Nomura, Household Mortgage Corporation, BZW, SCB).

His responsibility and leadership role includes management of local agency and network resources on key global clients. He is also responsible for driving the development and implementation of award winning creative work through the application of highly developed strategic and planning skills and adding value through insightful marketing strategies with the objective of driving organic business growth and brand development.
